Omid S. Irani obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Seton Hall University in 2015, where he graduated magna cum laude, majoring in Political Science and double-minoring in History and Middle Eastern Studies. Seeking to provide students with greater academic opportunities, Mr. Irani founded the Middle Eastern Studies program and was the first student at Seton Hall University to graduate with a minor in the program. Mr. Irani also played active roles in Phi Alpha Delta Theta (National History Honor Society) and the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Mr. Irani’s undergraduate thesis was published in Seton Hall’s Political Science Journal, Political Analysis, and has subsequently been downloaded over 500 times worldwide. 

Mr. Irani received his Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2018, where he was a published member of the Seton Hall Law Legislative Journal. During law school, Mr. Irani completed a judicial internship with the Honorable James J. Deluca, J.S.C. of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Bergen County. Mr. Irani demonstrated his commitment to diversity and leadership in law school by not only being elected to various executive committees for student affinity groups where he fostered dialogue and communication among various community, religious and ethnic leaders and the law school body, but also being selected to serve as a student liaison for the law school’s admissions committee.

Prior to joining Sutnick & Sutnick, Mr. Irani served as law clerk to the Honorable Sohail Mohammed, P.J. Cr. of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Passaic County, during the 2018-2019 court term. Thereafter, Mr. Irani worked at a civil law firm where he represented plaintiffs in personal injury matters as well as defendants in asbestos litigation.

Mr. Irani is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Bergen County Bar Association, and the Iranian American Bar Association. 

Mr. Irani is fluent in Farsi/Persian.
