Cases of drug offenses are constantly in the news. In one of the latest cases, police officers on patrol arrested a Sicklerville, New Jersey, man on weapons and drug possession.

The police officers, who were patrolling the area on bicycles, allegedly spotted the 24-year-old man being involved in a drug transaction. Police say the man attempted to get into a residence, but he was stopped by officers.

Authorities claim the man was arrested while in possession of crack cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana and oxycodone. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and consented to the officers' request to search his residence. The search allegedly yielded crack cocaine, a 9mm handgun, drug paraphernalia, promethazine, marijuana and a small amount of cash.

The man is now facing numerous criminal charges. Some of these charges include possessing drug paraphernalia, a magazine of large capacity, an illegal firearm and a controlled dangerous substance. He has also been charged with intending to distribute a controlled substance and having a weapon in the vicinity of a park.

A person who has been accused of a drug charge should take immediate action to protect his or her rights. These charges have serious consequences if proven. Whether a drug suspect is a first or repeat offender, it is important to understand how the legal system works. This is necessary to ensure that the legal rights of the accused are not trampled upon.
