About Our Work in the New Jersey Juvenile Justice System
In New Jersey, the juvenile justice system allows minors to get the help they may need, and does not simply focus on punishment. This may include participation in drug treatment programs, or assistance with anger management, psychological or social interaction problems.
This does not mean, however, that a juvenile offense will not put your child in a serious legal situation.
