Man who devotes life to children is accused of sexual misconduct

New Jersey prosecutors are notorious for the aggressive prosecution of sex crimes, particularly sex crimes involving young children. Unfortunately, not everyone accused of a sex crime is guilty. Nevertheless, the mere allegation of child sexual abuse is enough to cause untold damage to an individual's reputation. Furthermore, it is often those who devote their lives to helping children that are the most vulnerable to false accusations.

Outreach project warns about effects of underage drinking

Laws restricting access to alcohol among minors were first enacted in the 20th century. Initially these laws varied dramatically from state to state. In 1984, however, Congress enacted the National Minimum Drinking Age Act, prohibiting persons under 21 from purchasing or publicly consuming alcohol. To enforce the act a portion of federal highway funds is withheld from any state that refuses to comply. Today, every state, including New Jersey, prohibits underage drinking.

Violent crimes include any crime that is committed through force or the threat of force. These crimes are taken especially seriously by law enforcement. From aggravated assault to murder, there is little tolerance among authorities for individuals who commit violent crimes. Nevertheless, not every act of violence is a crime.
